April 2026 - Nuggets - Shining Stars

Every spring for over 40 years now, we at RE/MAX Garden City Realty Inc. set aside one night. A magical night in which we honour the outstanding sales achievements of the men and women of our company and sister company D.L.C. Easy Street Mortgages. Of course, these achievements are also recognized on an international scale at the Spring R4 Convention held each year in Las Vegas and at dozens and dozens of regional events around the globe. But it’s especially significant, I think, at our local event right here at home. Because, unlike the world stage, here in Niagara, we get to celebrate with our peers and significant others. The people we work with on a daily basis and the people who root us on and share in our successes. The event takes place, as does our Christmas Gala, at Club Roma. But while the Christmas celebration is held in the Starlight Room, our Awards Celebration takes place in the Atrium. A glass-encased room surrounded by trees and gardens. Glamour amidst nature. By the time the guests began to arrive, the room was decked out for the occasion with red, white and blue balloons floating above each table, the front of the room spread out with a length of tables displaying all the awards about to be presented. Along with a podium and presentation platform, there was a screen to showcase each recipient as their achievement was celebrated. And off to the side was an amazing array of desserts provided by Bel and Jenny of Donut Depot Bakery. The awards are presented by category. First, the Annual Achievement Awards are given in recognition of sales performance from the previous year. Beginning with Executive Club, requiring a sales volume of at least $2.5 million, all the way to Diamond Club, which recognizes a staggering $50 million in sales volume and beyond. Paralleling this, Dominion Lending Centres have their own Award levels, from Executive Club right up to Legends Club, which puts recipients in the top 0.1% of the organization. These Annual Awards are presented both to individuals and to teams, and some pretty awesome achievements were being recognized. Then we move on to Career Awards, which honour not only individual and team performance during the current year, but also the cumulative production of an agent’s career at RE/MAX. In addition to these corporate-level awards, we here at RE/MAX Garden City have another 11 awards unique to our company. These are the Top 5 Individuals and Top 5 Teams based on total production during the previous year, and finally, the Rookie of the Year is given to the agent who sold the most in their first full year in the business. The food, as always, was outstanding, with chicken, roast beef, pasta and salads, potatoes, etc. and of course, as we’ve mentioned, an incredible array of desserts. Music presented by D.J. Dominoes provided both background sound and tunes to dance the night away by. Amazing to see so many accomplished individuals in one room being honoured for their incredible sales achievements. And always so nice to see a room full of people who celebrate each other's successes. Yes, the crowd is gone, and the lights are now out on another wonderful event where we celebrated so many shining stars. But it’s not the end. It’s really the beginning of another year and another opportunity to achieve some goals. Set some records. And prepare for another celebration this time next year.
