Who would have thought? 2020 opened up to us as a year of great expectations. The economy was robust. The real estate market was soaring. It was going to be an amazing year. Who would have ever imagined that just over the horizon lurked a devastating monster that would effectively threaten the health and well being, even the very lives of people around the globe and bring the world economy almost to a stand still? And yet just a couple of months into the year that is exactly what happened. COVID-19.

And, believe me, acquisition and ownership of rental real estate will allow you to accomplish both of those objectives.







After years of relatively flat performance across Niagara, we began to see the market pace quicken in 2015 – 2016. While 2014 recorded 6,703 total residential sales throughout the Region as reported through the MLS, by 2015 that number had risen to 7,736, an increase of 15.41%. Then in 2016 the total residential sales had grown to 8,912, a further increase of 15.20%.

It’s the first and only thing anyone usually asks when you talk about your mortgage: What’s your rate? While everyone can recall their rate off the top of their head, it’s the only detail of the mortgage they remember or care to know. Though the rate is obviously important, your mortgage is so much more than a rate, and if you’re not paying close attention, it can cost you money.
